NTX Bylaws allow any player (through U19) to request to play with a friend. The following will assist participants in understanding how this rule affects you.
NTX Buddy Rule- 4.8.1 In order to promote soccer participation, a player may invite a friend from the same Member Association who was not registered in any Member Association during the last two seasons to join his existing team with the permission of the Member Association.
- First time players to KSA who register during our regular registration period are allowed to request to play with a friend, coach or team. These requests are not guaranteed; however, we do try our best to accommodate them. Please be sure to type in the specific request when registering the player online.
- All players through U19 who have NOT played in any NTX association within the last two seasons may request to play with a specific friend. Be sure to include the specific request when registering online. This request cannot be guaranteed. Players who request this but are not eligible per the NTX rule will be placed into the blind draw.
Returning players registering during our regular registration time frame have the option to request to return to their same team from the previous season or they can request to be placed into the draw. All other registrants will automatically be placed into the blind draw. We utilize an automated computer program which randomly places players on teams containing open roster spots. We do attempt to place players by their geographical (school) area, but please understand that we cannot guarantee this. Only siblings are allowed to play together provided they are in the same soccer age group or one age group apart.
Players who fail to register during our regular registration time period may lose their spot on their previous team’s roster. Returning players requesting a new team will be placed in the player pool for team assignment along with new players to KSA. Those players added to the Wait List will be completed based on the date registered with earlier registrations being given priority.
Please keep in mind that KSA is a volunteer organization. While we make every attempt to place all players, we cannot guarantee that all players will be placed on a team unless there are enough volunteer coaches to form teams. We highly encourage parents to volunteer as KSA coaches.
Each coach determines the practice time, day(s) and location for his/her team. This information will be provided by the coach when he/she contacts you after the coach’s meetings are held. Teams practice one to two times per week, and coaches will typically select a neighborhood park or a school with soccer goals for their practice location. Players must wear shin guards to all practices and bring a soccer ball as well their own water bottle.
Most games are scheduled on Saturdays, but they could also be scheduled on Sundays (after 1:00 PM) or weeknights, especially if games need to be rescheduled due to weather cancellation. Schedules will be posted on the KSA website (SCHEDULES tab) as soon as they are available.
U9 & younger teams play their games at the Keller Sports Complex at 112 Sports Parkway, Keller 76248.
U10 & older teams play their home games at the Keller Sports Complex and away games at other associations participating in the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League. A list of NMCSL member associations can be found at www.nmcsl.com and also on our Locations tab.
Field Conditions / Rainout #
Information on KSA field conditions can be found on our homepage or by calling our office at 817-431-6453. We also update our Facebook and Twitter accounts in the event of KSA field closure. U10 & older teams that are playing an AWAY game must check with that association with regard to their field conditions.
All players on our U9 & younger teams will receive a participation trophy at the end of each season. U10 & older teams placing in 1st, 2nd or 3rd at the end of the season will receive placement trophies. Players will receive their trophy from their coach.
Lightning Detection System
There is a lightning detection system that will both sound an audible alert and also a visible alert to warn everyone that lightning was detected in the area. Seek shelter immediately!
AED’s (Automated External Defibrillator) are located at each concession stand or when the concession stands aren’t open, the golf cart should have one on board.
